With the start of the new decade, Conservatives in Trafford are looking forward to the new opportunities that the nine MPs in Greater Manchester can collectively bring to powering up the North.

With a Conservative government returned nationally with an increased mandate and Greater Manchester now returning one in three of its MPs as Conservatives, the voice of Trafford and Greater Manchester will be heard more loudly in Westminster.

Sir Graham Brady, MP for Altrincham and Sale West said “The nine Conservative MPs in Greater Manchester and many more across the north of England are a powerful voice in Parliament that will underpin Boris Johnson’s commitment to level up opportunity and make sure that we unleash the potential of the whole of our great country “

Cllr. Nathan Evans, Leader of Trafford Conservatives said “ The Northern Powerhouse is already delivering on Greater Manchester projects such as the Ordsall Chord linking Victoria and Manchester Piccadilly train stations, the National Graphene Institute and The Factory. Trafford Conservatives welcome this huge investment and believe that with more Conservative MPs returned from Greater Manchester to Westminster that more investment will come to the region.”

“I would also like to wish the new faces in Greater Manchester a fantastic New Year and wish them all the best as they start their new careers at Westminster.”
