Labour abandon Altrincham Injuries Unit

The closure, has been continuous since the start of the pandemic in 2020 apart from a one-month spell (we were told due to staff shortages).

Then In November 2021 we were informed The Minor Injuries Unit at Altrincham Hospital will remain temporarily close again.

Then in early 2022 the director of strategy at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT), Darren Banks, said a review into the service was set to be concluded over the summer.

The review came up with a plan for Altrincham's Minor Injuries Unit to reopen for two days a week from September 2022, then a four day week from the New Year.

Then that was scrapped?

Cllr Nathan Evans, Leader of the Conservative Group  says, " this is not good enough residents want answers health Care is devolved in Greater Manchester so it fails under our Labour Greater Manchester Mayor we need some answers on when we will have it back open."

Help us to get the Minor Injuries Unit back open - this vital resource is clearly on the Labour list to scrap - sign our petition below
