Trafford's Conservative councillors will be demanding the Labour-run council withdraw from the Greater Manchester Spatial Framework renamed - Places For Everyone, at the next full council meeting in March.
Trafford council declared a Climate Emergency in November 2018, which committed the council to tackle climate change and work towards carbon neutrality for the borough of Trafford as well as for the Council by 2038.
At the January 2023 Trafford Council meeting, Members agreed unanimously for a report to be brought to the Council’s Executive meeting by October 2023 setting out the options for engaging directly with citizens through a Neighbourhood Forum Plan approach.
Cllr. Dylan Butt has welcomed that projects across the North West will receive £350 million of new funding as part of the second round of the Conservative government’s Levelling Up Fund, including £18.27m for Partington.
