•           Rising prices as a result of global economic pressures including Covid-19 and Putin’s illegal war have left many families struggling.

Trafford’s ruling Labour Group have forced through yet another Council Tax rise, despite opposition from the local Conservative councillors.

Government is supporting every household with the cost of energy by extending the Energy Price Guarantee until April 2024, while uprating benefits and pensions in line with inflation, and providing £12 billion extra support for the most vulnerable.

Unemployment is at its lowest level since 1974 and there are record numbers of people on company payrolls – but global pressures are pushing up household costs, so this Conservative Government is committed to helping hard-working people keep more of the money they earn.

Due to a series of global forces, families and businesses are being hit with everyday price rises. It is the utmost priority of the Conservative Government to help the millions of families struggling with the cost of living.

Local authorities across England have been granted more than £11 million to fund projects for clean air through the Government’s most recent Air Quality Grant.

The temporary pop-up cycle lanes across the borough have generated a lot of comment on social media and elsewhere since being introduced in mid-2020 to support social distancing and to encourage more walking and cycling.

The news that around 150 new charging points are to be installed across parts of the borough has been welcomed by Trafford Conservatives.

Local residents are asking why when they ask for more compostable Green Bags for their food waste, Trafford’s Labour Council are failing to deliver the bags, and local Conservatives are asking for answers.
