Trafford Conservatives join calls from the Jewish community in Manchester to express serious concern over the upcoming performance by Bob Vylan due to take place at the O2 Victoria Warehouse in Trafford.
Bob Vylan was featured at Glastonbury Festival last week- chants in their performance included 'Death to the IDF' and is now formally under investigation with Ofcom and Avon & Somerset Police.
Greater Manchester Police are currently investigating Bob Vylan regarding their upcoming performance in Trafford.
Conservative Group Leader, Councillor Nathan Evans has written to Sara Todd, the Chief Executive of Trafford Council copying in various Jewish group leaders, and the Greater Manchester Police.
Councillor Evans is asking the Council to review whether this event is compatible with the Council's public sector equality duties and the Council's responsibilities under the Public Order Act- given the potential implications for community cohesion.
