GREATER MANCHESTER POLICE - LOCAL CONFIDENCE NEIGHBOURHOOD SURVEYS: TRAFFORD DIVISION (JAN-MAR 2010)
The results presented here are from the eighth round of Neighbourhood Surveys. This was the second time that the surveys were conducted by face-to-face interviews between local residents and PCSOs. In total, 7966 interviews were completed across Greater Manchester and 677 interviews were completed in Trafford during quarter four (January to March 2010). Data from the previous quarter (October to December 2009) is combined with quarter four data to create the rolling data figure. This is the way the Home Office requires these data to be made available to the public and is also consistent with the way British Crime Survey data are published.
The surveys measure perceptions of confidence in policing at forcewide, divisional and neighbourhood level. This report shows forcewide and divisional results, but neighbourhood level results can be obtained by contacting the Divisional Communications Officer on 0161-856-7794 or email James.Williamson@gmp.police.uk
The results for Trafford during this quarter are very encouraging and show that we are improving in all areas. However, we know that we still have a lot of work to do and you can rest assured that we will continue to work around the clock tackling criminals and trying to make the borough an even safer place in which to live, work and visit.
You can keep up to date with the latest police information, including crime statistics, news, contact details and meeting dates for your community, by visiting www.gmp.police.uk
